                                                     Colored/finished a drawing I did back in early 2015. Title: "The Hunter and the Bird". The initial light pencil version can be seen among my early 2015 posts. I like this one more, but the pencil version has some nice qualities as well.

                                              This one's titled, "Little Hungry Animals". Colored and finished. The little bunny rabbit wants a radish, a beet or a carrot, he can't eat that tangerine, which is not really next to him anyway. The little cat wants some milk. The piece of toast with jam on it he can't eat. The two birds finally found some seeds, but they're looking with sympathy and sadness at the hungry cat and rabbit, and they're hungry too. The birds can't eat the toast because it's not really there next to them. Or it could be that the cat is not really next to the birds, and the birds are looking out across the street.

                                              This one is titled "Run". I've posted this one before, but I prefer this new photograph, because here I've taken the sheet out of the sketchbook and photographed it on its own.

                                                     Suddenly through the streets of the city comes --- The Cattarowl-gah! 😮 💨 Cat, because its face and body are reminiscent of a cat, Rowl !, because that's one of the sounds it makes, Owl because its face also looks like an owl, and Gah because "Gaah!!" is what people often exclaim when they see the size of the creature, and its sabre - teeth and crab-pincered tentacles. Now it prowls the streets in search of who knows what (probably its next meal)...  This is a small piece, 6.5 inches by about 5.8 inches.

                                                     This one is, "Paper Clip Man". My own idea, I've never seen a paper clip man done by someone else on Instagram or anywhere else.

                                  Sometimes when the extraterrestrials fly by through our skies, there's a mishap. Ouch!!! ----Whether this guy is a Garbage Pail Kid or a cousin of theirs from another planet, I'm not sure 😅😅

                                                     This one is, "The Strange Purple-Pink Bird that Flies and Runs in the Skies, and has a Bright Yellow Patch around its Eyes". Just a fun piece, like I might make a children's book out of it. The bird is designed by me like almost all my characters.

                                                     A smaller piece, more minimalist. Suggestive, mysterious and in some way surreal. I just like it. Like a haiku. Also a childhood and summer atmosphere.

Colored and finished a new piece. Original material as usual unless otherwise stated. For Garfield I looked at a Garfield comic strip. Another of the cats, the bouncy cat, is influenced by Pusheen the cat in general design, but not the pose or the idea of a bouncy cat, mostly just the face I based on that character.

                                              This one is, "The Mystery of the Bird-Man seen at very Low Tide..." . Perhaps he's looking for a former nesting site, on a vanished land. Or maybe something else. A ritual. Maybe he's looking for food that has been exposed by the low tide. Either the tide has been low for so long that the sand is dry, or he is just approaching the wet sand area.

Introducing the latest group of unlikely superheroes, so new the team doesn't have a name yet. But the characters have names: Rocket Skater the Cat, Super Ass-Naked Woman, the Flying Squirrel, Mega Chicken, Kitty Hawk the Winged Cat, and Donatello of the Ninja Turtles. I created all of them except Donatello. But I did design his Kawasaki bike. Look for them in a comic book coming---I'm not sure when 😅

                                                   Check it out! ☺ I prefer this new version, colored and with some new additions and changes, to the earlier version. But I like the earlier version as well, it was expressing something else. The earlier version will still be viewable where it was posted early in 2016 on this blog.

The Bird Collector

          This one is, "The Bird Collector". Next I'm probably going to add some flowers to the bushes and some in the foreground. This piece in fact is a study for another painting I'm thinkin of doing.

An especially relaxing piece I think. A fun look at the interplay between cats and birds. I'll probably leave this one in ink to emphasize the movements and figures.

                                            Some pencil experiments in abstraction. Sometimes you got to use just pencil. This one has a few drops of paint.                                                             Today also June 15th I just added the "Followers" gadget to my blog, finally! Glad to have that now.
