As the year 2013 draws to a close,  this Spider-Man drawing now fully inked and colored.

Spider-Man Dec 21st

Alright yeah, finished inking and finished coloring this scene. I'm leaving the floor around the Lizard white and the background buildings bluish. Original scene, I used just a loose reference for Spider-Man from a panel where he was leaping away from John Jameson (J.J.J.'s son) in the late 1960s Amazing Spider-Man, there was no background in that panel and Spidey was drawn differently, I also changed the position of his left arm.

Heroes, dinos and

 

Two drawings begun and almost finished in 1996. Original, no references. In the top drawing, the dinosaur with armor and lasers is as drawn in 1996, but I made 2013 adjustments to the hero swinging towards the dino. The 1996 hero may have even looked cooler, but I wanted to improve the body proportions.

In the next drawing, no adjustments made, however I may decide to make the Tyranno's arms shorter to be paleontologically correct, then again I can say this was an unknown variety with longer arms or an engineered/adjusted type. Back in 1996, I knew they had smaller, shorter arms but for some reason I drew the arms in this drawing somewhat bigger and longer.

I want to ink and color these soon.

A drawing from 2013---is he a villain, or a henchman/gunsel/gun for hire? His legs are slightly longer than usual I think, but looks interesting. Buildings soon to be finished.

I drew this sci-fi chick in 1997 (or possibly in late 1996), and I did not need to touch up this work from how I finished it back then.

Spider-Man Nov 21st

I finished this drawing in October and November 2013, inked and colored. The 1996 drawing was based on a Todd McFarlane pose which I changed to a different pose (his right arm pose, the arm that is not holding the webline, that pose wasn't in the 1996 version) and different style.

Spider-Man Nov 20th

Back in 1997, not sure which month, I drew this drawing. I did some light touch ups in 2013, plus inking and coloring. Original pose, no reference. Some Sci-Fi

3 Sci-Fi scenes. From the top: a drawing untouched (aside from signature and dating) from 1996 or 1997, I used no reference. I plan on inking and coloring this one without altering the pencil lines. Next, a drawing from 2002 finished in 2013, I used no reference. Next, a drawing from 1996 slightly touched up in 2013, I used no reference.
I have some more like these, and I plan on drawing more of them.

Another chick

This chick was mostly drawn in 1997 or 1998, got back to her this year and finished penciling her, no reference used. I plan on inking and coloring her. Back in the 1990s (this drawing goes back to 1997 or 1998), I sometimes used lined paper.

 

A woman on a couch

I can create women, girls, all types of people out of thin air. Well, drawings and paintings of them, and sculptures. I used no reference for this woman relaxing on a couch, no model, no other artwork, just my pencil and a sketchbook.

Another style

Gotta have different styles. Gotta be versatile. Anyway, I think it's better to be versatile. Here are two updated versions (the most updated one is the image on top) of a pencil drawing, which, in the first version, took me about half an hour from beginning to finish (the work on the updated versions didn't take long either). It's a pretty big drawing, the paper is 9" by 12".  I initially used a reference: the first version was adapted from inked pencil artwork by John Romita Jr. from a panel in Amazing Spider-Man #213 in Essential Amazing Spider-Man Vol.10 (which is the same size as a comic book), I just looked at the panel and adapted the drawing to a much bigger size, the panel is about 1.5" by 2".

I may scan the actual panel later to show the difference, the girl I drew with a pencil (whereas the source version is inked) looks like a different but similar girl from the one in the Spider-Man comic. Fun.

Some chicks I drew today. I used no reference, just used my skills freehand in a sketchbook. I like drawing women, chicks, girls. Always arouses me as well. It's fun. And you can create some great artworks drawing women/girls.

1) This one is from 1997 or 1998; colored and inked in 2013; and the poses are original.

2) The next one is from 1997; colored in 2013; and the pose is original. I'm placing the inked version after the pencil version, the buildings have yet be finished. The pencil version looks great as well, as is usually the case.

4) This one is from 1997 or 1998, inked and colored in 2013.

I've posted a number of Spider-Man drawings and I'd like to make it clear that the Spider-Man I'm drawing is 50% the original Spider-Man from the 20th century Marvel Comics and some 21st Century Marvel Comics, and 50% the Spider-Man of a more realistic continuity, more realistic than the continuities currently found in Marvel Comics (to my knowledge). I've read a lot of Marvel Comics and I know how the Marvel Universe stretches believeability/credulity, that's why my Spider-Man is often the Spider-Man of a more realistic continuity, something which Marvel hasn't done yet (or if they have, I haven't seen it).

5 New GPKs

I'm debating how melted his face should be. In this version, I've decided to show more of his GPK face, and his face has begun to melt.

5 New Garbage Pail Kids by me Alex G. From the top:

1)Over-heated Hank/Melting Mel. He's melting out on his fold out chair/beach chair on his patio/deck because of the extremely high temperatures, global warming (for the sake of the gag, regardless of whether global warming is actually going on in the world). In the background, homes, buildings and trees in the city or town are burning, high flames, smoke. Two alternative versions: he's on the sidewalk burning in the city with the city burning behind him, or he's melting on a rocking chair on his patio.
2) Short-Order Clark/Sunny-Side Upton. He's a short-order cook handing a dish he just cooked for a patron, his eyes and teeth and gums are on the dish while his eye sockets and mouth are empty.
3) Combustin' Justin/Spontaneous Herman. He's a GPK who just spontaneously combusted in his living room or den/study.
4) Upside Don/Weird Will. I posted this guy earlier in September 2013 but I took him down because I wanted to post him among these other new GPKs. This GPK can be done in at least two versions, the version shown here and a version without the earwax dripping onto the ice cream cone. This GPK has his head upside down and is picking out a booger. His earwax is dripping out of his ears and onto an ice cream cone that he has in his other hand.
5) Rhoda Rage/? . This GPK is a baby GPK in a baby-stroller and he/she has a big smoking gun that he or she has used to shoot some other babies out of their strollers, they're in the background on the floor.

Again, these are all my ideas and I don't yet know as of September 23rd whether any of these or similar to these will be in the as yet unreleased BNS3 or 2014 Series 1.

I'll finish these all soon enough and I have more coming. I'm going to describe in a time-stamped comment for this blog post some additional GPK concepts that I have, I'm not going to be describing all the additional GPK concepts that I have at the moment, only some.

Some drawings of mine from over the years, one already colored, one mostly colored, most of the others will be colored later. To come up on web-surfing searches it's better to describe the drawings, so there's a drawing of Woody Woodpecker here, Pretzel the Dachsund dog, a house cat eating a mouse, an upset young girl, and two women.

Two 1990s Spider-Man drawings

Two Spider-Man drawings of mine from the 1990s. First, a Spider-Man drawing I drew in 1996, not based on another artist's Spider-Man, inked and colored this year. Back then I drew superheroes on lined paper sometimes (these days I no longer use lined paper for superhero artwork). Next, another Spider-Man drawing of mine from 1995/1996 on lined paper which I touched-up slightly and inked and colored this year, an original pose again.

These are 4 drawings all in a certain style and theme, each one depicting a person you might encounter in my neighborhood, East Hollywood and Wilshire Center. Actual streets in Wilshire Center were used for backgrounds. From the top, a bottle collector, next an arsonist (the smoke in the background comes from a fire he just set), an elderly man getting hit by a rock while coming from the grocery store, a Mexican/Central American man getting dangerous with a knife (the arsonist and bottle collector may also be Mexican/Central American). These drawings are all from a sketchbook I had, a page for each, and date back to 2011 or 2010, some maybe 2009.

I plan on coloring them soon enough.

GPKs, check out some finished and colored drawings

In Sloppy Joe the coloring is not finished, I have to finish the milk carton.

August, Spider-Man drawings

 And now while it's still August, I'm back to posting more artwork of mine. The top Spider-Man drawing in this post I drew quicker (see the pencil version below) than any of my other Spider-Man drawings posted on my blog before and again with no reference. For many years I was out of practice from Spider-Man drawing, but not anymore. The colored pencils that I'm using don't have all the shades of blue or red that I need for Spider-Man, but I can usually make them work, plus I've been buying new color shades.
