April 11th

I was coloring some of my previous drawings digitally, after inking them by hand (except for one above that wasn't inked by hand). I was interested in seeing how they come out. I like how they came out, even though I used paint.net , a software that doesn't have as many features as Adobe Photoshop. The digital coloring doesn't come out as complex as it can with Adobe. I used paint.net because it was free, as opposed to investing in Adobe Photoshop or other costly software. More to come. I've added these images to a number of products on Zazzle.com , available for purchase now. I'm going to buy some of my t-shirts myself, I like how they look. A portion of the sales price goes directly to me. My Zazzle store is at https://www.zazzle.com/easthollywood/products , East Hollywood is the name of my store.

In the world of abstractions

An original composition. Later in 2017, I transformed this work into the work titled "On track to the next level", which can be seen among my later 2017 posts on this blog. So this is one of my works which no physically exists as an object, only as a photograph. Because physically as an object it has become a new work.

January 3rd

Getting my art posts started already, with a new page from my sketchbook. This was drawn in December 2016.

Untitled

From a few months ago, gouache and pencil on paper. The pencil strokes are light but I have to decide which strokes should be more defined if any.

Gouache study

An original composition of mine, gouache on cardboard.

Scene with eight animals

This is an inked and colored version of a drawing I posted one year ago. In this version, one cat who wasn't smiling in the pencil version is now smiling---an unintentional difference while inking.
